PancakeSwap V2 Migration and it’s impact on PlantSwap
As many of you probably know already, PancakeSwap is planning a migration of the router and LP’s contract. PancakeSwap was planning to do the migration earlier today, but they delayed the move after finding out some incompatibility issue between the router contract and the LP’s contract.
For PlantSwap, it is business as usual!
The migration is mainly impacting the Core farms of PancakeSwap, receiving Cake as reward, PlantSwap farms don’t receive Cake, we receive PLANT🌱!!!
The PLANT reward you receive are controlled by the MasterGardener 👨🏻🌾👩🏿🌾 smart contract so even if we don’t migrate, you will keep receiving PLANT🌱.
The only real impact to our project with this migration is:
- The V2 LP’s and router contract will allow for more flexibility with the fees structures of the liquidity pool.
- If we want to migrate to these V2 liquidity pool, every farmers of PLANT will need to unstack there LP’s, remove the liquidity from the liquidity pool and add again that liquidity to the V2 liquidity pool and stack these new (different) LP’s in a new farms.
Currently we will prefer siding with caution and let wait that these new contract been deploy and rigorously tested before to jump on board.
Ounce PancakeSwap has finish the migration and a few days has pass without any issue, we will ask the PlantSwap community on Telegram what they will prefer.
